ENVIRONMENATAL MODELING AND GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
SYSTEMS LABORATORY
This laboratory is used by graduate and undergraduate
students for research and coursework in G.I.S. data
structures for surface water, groundwater, landfill
siting, natural resource applications, coastal hydrodynamics,
and shallow zone modeling. Finite element modeling
capabilities for other environmental applications
are also available. Equipment in the laboratory includes
a network of PC and Sun Ultra 10 workstations linked
to a Sun Enterprise 250 server, and a 16-node parallel
cluster composed of Sun Netra XI servers.
GEO-COMPUTATIONAL MODELING LABORATORY
Contains ten networked Pentium PC's and peripherals.
This lab is primarily used by geotechnical graduate
students and undergraduate research assistants.
